A “Prep & Landing” sequence in World of Color highlights holiday plans for the Disneyland Resort.
“Prep & Landing” is a series of animated TV specials about an elite squad of Santa’s elves charged with making his Christmas Eve flights successful. World of Color is a multimedia fountain show that debuted at Disney California Adventure in 2010. They come out on DVD on Nov. 22.

Ariel’s Undersea Adventure, California Adventure’s new “Little Mermaid” ride will be decorated for the season, as will Paradise Pier, where Santa will greet guests in the gazebo. New in Disneyland Park is a holiday décor for Mickey’s Toon Town, including an 18-foot Christmas tree, and a holiday sequence for The Magic, The Memories and You!, the animated show projected on the façade of it’s a small world.
That Fantasyland ride is closed for installation of its holiday overlay and will reopen Nov. 11, according to Disneyland’s park hours web page. Returning are such attractions as the holiday parade, the icicle lighting of Sleeping Beauty’s castle and the live reindeer at Big Thunder Ranch. Pirates of the Caribbean and the Blue Bayou restaurant, which have been closed for renovation, will reopen on Thanksgiving, Nov. 24.
