Disneyland is hosting exclusive fireworks shows, a new mini parade and trick-or-treat trails as part of its Mickey's Halloween Party, which started at the beginning of October. The trick-or-treat event was brought to Disneyland after staging the parties in Disney California Adventure for about five years. Disneyland hasn't had Halloween parties since at least the mid-1990s.
There are10 events scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays in October, as well as Halloween on Oct. 31, a Sunday.
The night parties require separate park tickets, which range from $49 to $59. Party-goers, who have special wristbands, can arrive at the park in the late afternoon and stay after the park closes for general-admission guests. Special party features, including the trick-or-treating and the fireworks, are available only at the after-hours parties. Advance tickets are cheaper than buying them on the day of the event. Prices have more than doubled since the parties began at Disney California Adventure.
